Thousands of vehicles subject to latest Honda recall announcement
American Honda Motor Company, Inc. has announced more recalls of equipment installed in certain vehicles sold in the United States. According to the latest Honda recall announcement, recall notices 16e-042, 16e-043, and 16e-044 have been issued for mechanical parts of the Takata-made airbags installed in Honda vehicle of certain years.
The defective product causes the passenger airbags to over-aggressively inflate when the airbag is deployed and send metal shards toward the passenger which could cause serious injury. Honda has even gone as far as to suggest that drivers refrain from allowing anyone to ride in the passenger’s seat while operating the vehicle.
