We are going pink this October to join in spreading awareness for the need of innovative breast cancer research and education on the importance of early detection. As we continue to go pink, we wanted to take the time to create a blog post that will provide resources that you can explore to learn more about properly managing your breast health this October:
- American Cancer Society: The American cancer society is a public health and advocacy program whose mission is to help create a world where cancer is no longer a concern. They conduct research, educate the public on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, as well as how to detect cancer early. The organization also provides support for cancer patients through every step of their treatment from the first detection, to remission, and beyond. - National Breast Cancer Foundation: The National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded by breast cancer survivor, Janelle Hail. When she received her diagnosis in 1980, she was taken aback by the lack of information on breast cancer. After her treatment she made it her goal to help provide women everywhere with the support and information they need to be able to detect breast cancer early. As well as support as they navigate their diagnosis and treatment options. For more information on the National Breast Cancer Foundation Click Here.
